Incredible Hidden Treasure The location was phenomenal, hidden in the Spanish countryside. The main building is a refurbished olive mill. The staff was unsurpassed by any Ritz or Hyatt I’ve experienced. Gavin, Luis, Brenda and Ruben are outstanding. The friendliness, hospitality and genuine kindness was remarkable. EXCELENTE EXPERIENCIA El entorno es precioso, muy cuidado y con mucho encanto, ideal para desconectar y disfrutar de la comida. La atención fue impecable: cercanos, atentos y muy amables en todo momento. La comida nos ha encantado , con productos de calidad, platos bien presentados y sabores muy bien equilibrados: ensalada de naranja , boletus a la plancha , abanico y una tarta de queso espectacular ! Charming boutique hotel This is a unique & charming hotel with wonderful owners & staff. Rooms are spacious and beautifully appointed. The hotel itself is an old olive mill restored from ruin to perfection. A lovely and quiet location makes for a perfect stay. Tourism has not discovered the Extremadura area, making a visit to the spectacular sights an escape from the masses. Wonderful food & hospitality. Burbuja idílica en familia Vinimos en familia para festejar el cumpleaños de varios miembros de la familia. Muy atento, el equipo se esmeró en hacer de esta estancia un momento encantador. Aprovechamos el entorno idílico del molino. La comida, que se inspira de platos tradicionales de la zona, es particularmente rica. Aqua et Oleum is a wonderful place where you can switch off from the daily usually hectic life. Aqua et Oleum is a boutique hotel where the old elements of the former olive oil mill have been very tastefully integrated into the current hotel. The hotel is located in the beautiful countryside of Sierra de Gata. You can see the spectacular castle of Trevejo from the beautiful swimming pool. There are also many other very authentic places to visit nearby, such as Hoyos and San Martin de Trevejo and the area is great for hiking. Unfortunately, we were too short to enjoy it for long, so that means we will go back again. The staff were great and very attentive. Un hotel exquisito en un espacio natural He estado con la familia (9 personas) pasando el fin de semana y ha sido como estar en casa por la confianza y amabilidad con la que nos han tratado pero con toda la belleza y la comodidad de un hotel extraordinario. Gracias a Gavin y al personal de la cocina y la limpieza todo funciona bien. Cenamos la noche del sábado y estaba todo muy bueno. Habíamos contratado a la empresa Canopea (Nicolás) para una observación astronómica con tres telescopios allí mismo en el hotel y la experiencia fué estupenda. Descansar na natureza, mas com conforto e charme Viemos em viagem de casal, e surgiu esta opção pois aceitavam animais, visto que viajamos sempre acompanhados dos patudos. Em visualização on-line gostamos e reservamos, mas no local tudo é diferente e neste caso para melhor. A localização é fantástica, isolado, muito silencio e natureza, mas perto de vilas históricas. As instalações, muito recentes, de um verdadeiro hotel de charme, simples e chic, com gosto e qualidade, de aspecto rústico. O pessoal, sempre disponível, simpático e prestável, em ambiente informal. A complementar o restaurante, que funciona no edifício principal, num antigo lagar muito bem restaurado, onde tem um menu reduzido mas com elaboração cuidada e muito saborosa. I can’t imagine life without this experience. The team at Aqua et Oleum creates an incredibly memorable experience in one of the most natural and remote destinations in all of Spain. This beautiful 8 room lifestyle hotel was the inspired creation of Interior Designer Joseph Shortell. What once functioned as a mill providing olive oil for the surrounding area now provides a peaceful respite for those looking to slow down and absorb all this region has to offer. Incredible food preparations from Chef Roy kept us coming back all 5 days. There was no need to look elsewhere. His preparations were so delicious. I’m not a breakfast guy, but I made a point to enjoy his breakfast spread. Wow! Great way to start the day. The manager, Victor is a gem! He is TOP NOTCH and incredibly kind and communicative. Christina was lovely and made all our meals really special. Seriously, they all go above and beyond to serve well. Additionally, this location has SO much to offer. You are surrounded and immersed by so many incredible things. It’s all about olives over here. Olive oil and some excellent wine. Ok, olive oil, wine and a little history. Actually, 700+ years of history including the invasion and occupation of the Visigoths, Moors, Christians, Spanish empire, Napoleonic France and now modern Spain. Beautiful escape Aqua Et Oleum was a wonderful experience. Set in the region of Extremadura Spain, the AEO team has transformed an olive mill into a beautifully appointed hotel and restaurant whose staff professionally serve all your wants and needs. Accommodations and meals were great. The staff arranged for tours of olive mills, bull farms, goat farms and excursions to all the attractions for which this region is known. The community is so close in this region, that many of your interactions are up close and personal. From start to finish, this exceeded our expectations - Bravo!
